About The Chef

My name is Seika and everything in my life has a connection to family and food - the joy of cooking was something I was lucky enough to be exposed to at an early age. My grandmother in the kitchen making Sunday dinner and baking pies, my brother and I, like mad scientists creating amazing concoctions (some of which were actually edible) and now my own kids, one of which has plans to go on to become a celebrity chef himself.

After 2 years in the culinary program at George Brown College, I went on to apprentice and work in various food establishments from a donut bakery to a top hotel kitchen.

The chance meeting of a fellow chef at a festival led to a collaborative effort to create a multitude of wonderful cookies, cakes and confections on a small production scale.
Being an artist outside of the kitchen I brought my skills to the cakes, cookies and confections with zeal and flair.

The decision in 2006 to branch out and offer my services as a personal chef has brought me full circle and given me the opportunity to not only do what I love, but give people a healthy alternative to expensive restaurants and fast food!
